Total control over write actions
Unlike other assistants that write to your system uncontrollably, RestIA includes a hard security barrier:
- Granular permissions: Enable or disable each MCP tool's permissions individually. Disabled tools are invisible to the AI.
- In-bubble approval: Every file write, edit or Git commit asks for your real-time approval, with an edit form to tweak the code or message on the fly.
- Model guardrails: If a lightweight or non-recommended model tries to force tool usage, it is immediately blocked to prevent any suspicious command.

Is it really free?
Yes. The app runs for free on your computer, with no time limit. Optional subscriptions (Plus, Premium) unlock advanced features, but the essentials stay free.
Does my data stay private?
Absolutely. Your conversations, files and documents stay on your computer. The assistant thinks locally, without sending your data to any external service.
Do I need technical skills?
No. On first launch, a guide walks you through it step by step: automatic engine install, downloading a first model, then you start chatting. No complicated setup.
Does it work without an Internet connection?
Yes, once installed. The assistant works offline. Internet is only needed for web search and a few optional online features.
What computer do I need?
A recent computer with 8 GB of memory is enough to get started. For more powerful models, 16 GB and a dedicated graphics card give a better experience (see the Requirements section).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions have no commitment: you can change plan or cancel whenever you like from your client area. Payment is secured by Stripe.
